みちのくの仏像

The exhibition was rather small scale as it occupied only one room.  It was considerably crowded and fairly popular.   At the entrance of the exhibition there is a boat which was washed away from Tohoku reaching American coast.  It looked OK but it drifted as long as two years.  This inevitably reminds us of the terrible earthquake four years ago.  However, the statues were beyond those sufferings it seems.  They look so serene and benign.  We had time to see other things the museum permanently have.  The building was spacious and the exhibited things were in a low key display.  It was good to see things in this way.  When we visit Heiseikan, we get filled with information and some tiring stuff the crowd of people emit and we are not likely to visit the permanent display.  The small exhibition in the main building had the virtue of inviting people to the visit to the inadvertently hidden treasures.  B asked for the audio guide.  He enjoyed the voice of Yakusimaru.
