time to change?

When did I begin to use Nottinghill in my English class?  It is true it is a good teaching material as the characters speak British, Welsh and American English.  It has a happy ending and the students feel happy.  However it is high time to switch to another.   I know I should, but I have to admit I have already decided on it again as the next year's English III textbook.  I had to write the syllabus before I could come across with any other candidates.

At the end of today's paper exam, I asked for students' comments.  I have realized anonymous opinion was what was necessary as there are too much appreciation and gratitude, not criticism.   I suppose their appreciation of the film is genuine.  

Some part of appreciation of the course might be part of thier effort to earn better marks - although I am determined it does not affect it - but as far as their answers to the questions are concerned, they show good understanding of the film and its English, and it is part of the result of their response to my invitation to learn with the film.     After all it is a good material.
